For my Mercy lovers…

I’ve seen this ballet vid a few times recently and kept coming back to it. I couldn’t figure out why Justin Peck is so transfixing to me. (Well, besides the obvious reasons like his handsome face, banging bod, and beautiful technique.)

Then it hit me. He looks exactly the way I pictured Gregoire, Lucy Merritt’s nurturing and talented dance partner in Mercy. I loved writing Gregoire and I saw him as a very beautiful person, both inside and out. I hope you’ll enjoy this short video (and handsome Justin Peck.)

My favorite part is the part at the end, around 1:35, when he does the spin and dip with Janie and you can see the attention and concentration on his face. Le sigh. Ballet is beautiful.

Odalisque is now available!

I’m happy to announce that Odalisque is now available for purchase!

You can find it at the following clickable purchase links: Amazon, Barnes and Noble.com, All Romance ebooks, and Smashwords.

If you read it and love it, I hope you will spread the word and if possible, leave some reviews for me! Your support is so appreciated.

I am back to work now on Cirque du Minuit, which I’ll release in the spring. By the way, I published Odalisque with a short excerpt from Cirque du Minuit, a special peek for all my readers.

Comfort Object is back in print!

The new re-issue of Comfort Object is finally available on Amazon, All Romance e-books, Smashwords, and BarnesandNoble.com.

Best of all, it’s only $2.99 at Amazon and Barnes and Noble, and only $3.99 at ARe and Smashwords, so if that high cover price was scaring you off, now’s the time to pick it up and read Jeremy and Nell’s story. You may still get the Loose Id version in your search results so be sure to buy the cheaper one. (They are exactly the same except for the covers.)

A paperback version is also available through Amazon (click). For years readers have been asking for a print copy and I’m happy to offer it now.

Stay tuned to the blog for news on when Odalisque will be available to buy. I am still expecting the book to be available by some point late next week. Spread the word! And thanks for all your support.

Lily Mine earns a “Five Delightful Divas” review at Dark Diva Reviews!

Many thanks to Jae of Dark Diva Reviews for taking the time to post an awesome review of Lily Mine!

You can read the full review here (click!)

A short excerpt:

“The characters were rich and diverse, with drives and motives so different from today. I truly enjoyed this snapshot of life that I was given. The ending was superb, bringing all the varied pieces of the puzzle—and don’t kid yourself, there were plenty of pieces to this puzzle—together to a satisfying conclusion that stayed true to the characters. This story has many plotlines, with wonderfully shocking turns as everything comes together for the reader.”

Thanks so much, Jae! I really did work hard on the plot of Lily Mine. If you haven’t read it yet, give it a try! We can all use a little Regency hotness in our lives…

Don’t forget to visit I’m-no-angel.com and leave a comment for a chance to win Lily Mine!

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a great weekend. Just a reminder that my Lily Mine excerpt is up on Bianca Sommerland’s blog today. Leave a comment in the comments section (not here–over there!) for a chance to win a signed copy of Lily Mine mailed to your house.

It’s all part of her “Lover’s Scare” Halloween-themed promotion this October. Each day a different erotic scary or fright-themed excerpt will be posted for you to enjoy. There are tons of big names participating and tons of great excerpts.

I think the contest is going to go on until the first week of November, when all the winners will be announced, so be sure to read some of the other excerpts too and leave lots of comments. Who knows what you’ll win? Good luck!

In case you missed the live broadcast of The Passion Zone…

I had tons of fun chatting with Allie and Scarlet tonight on The Passion Zone radio show! My voice always sounds like nails on a chalkboard to me, but they had great questions and it was a wonderful chance to talk about my work and what makes me tick as a writer.

In case you missed it and would like to listen, here’s a direct link to the show.

The Passion Zone chats with Annabel Joseph, BDSM author

I believe it will also be available for download on iTunes. (Just look for the October 16, 2011 edition.) Thanks again Scarlet and Allie for the chance to be part of your show!

Come have fun at the Lover’s Scare contest at I’m-No-Angel.com!

The wonderful Bianca Sommerland invited me to participate in her Lover’s Scare Halloween contest and promotion and I jumped at the chance!

She’s hosting fourteen days of spooky and sexy excerpts by great authors like Cherise Sinclair, Keta Diable, Sophie Oak, Tymber Dalton, Cari Silverwood and many others. And yours truly is scheduled for October 22nd! I’ll be posting one of the romantic and spooky scenes from my historical romance Lily Mine, and giving away a signed paperback copy of the book.

Nothing like tons of great scary spooky writing to get you in a Halloween mood! Hope to see you there!

I’m going to be a guest on The Passion Zone tomorrow!

Hi everyone! Just letting you know I’m going to be on The Passion Zone show on BlogTalk Radio tomorrow (Sunday) at 6 PM Eastern Time. This is a great podcast about love, sex, and relationships, hosted by Allie and my great friend Scarlet Wylde every Sunday night live. LINK!!

If you miss the show I think you can listen to it later, and I believe you can also find it on iTunes after the fact. I’ll post links when I know more.

But here is the link to listen live tomorrow night! It should be a fun show. I’ll be talking about Odalisque and the mysterious Code d’Odalisque, as well as other books I’m working on right now. Hope you can tune in!

The new Comfort Object cover is here!

Wow, I can’t believe Comfort Object has been out two years already and is going to backlist. But I’m excited too! That means my readers can pick it up at Amazon or Barnes and Noble for only $2.99, or at Smashwords and ARe for just $3.99. Sweet! I’m expecting it to be available by November 5th.

That also means my readers who prefer paper books can finally get a printed copy of Comfort Object via Amazon/Createspace. These will be priced at $9.99 for a trade-sized, really nice quality edition.

And it ALSO means that the book gets a facelift…a wonderful new cover by artist and author Adrienne Wilder. Love, love, love her work. I found this stock photo that looked so much like Jeremy and Nell to me, and Adrienne painted and laid it out for me. I love the result! (If you’re an author and you’d like to have someone custom create a cover for you for a great price–$50-150 usually–contact her!) SO here it is:

Another reason I’m so excited about the Comfort Object re-release the first week of November is that it will be released concurrently with Odalisque, which will be the third book set in this world, after Caressa’s Knees. I’m calling this series the “Comfort Series,” since each book features someone who is hired to bring comfort to someone–although we know they always end up doing a little more than giving comfort!

At any rate, I’m excited about the next few weeks, so keep checking back for release info and promo events I have planned at various sites. Thanks again and again and again for all your encouragement and support!

I’m blogging at Luna Zega’s site today

I was recently invited to be a guest blogger over at Luna Zega’s erotica site. Luna, the alter ego of Claire Croxton, is a great erotica author who publishes with Wild Rose Press’s wilder “Scarlet” line.

Please visit her blog today at www.lunazega.com and check out my post about story ideas–what they are, where they come from, and what the heck my characters have to say about it. Just click on the “Visit Luna’s Blog” caption on the right side or use this link.

Many thanks to Luna for the opportunity to be a guest on her site!

Comfort Object will be going out of print (temporarily) very soon

Hi everyone!

Just a heads up that the Loose Id edition of Comfort Object goes out of print soon, so you will see it disappearing from the various sales sites between now and the end of October. If you have a pressing desire to own the Loose Id ebook, definitely go ahead and purchase it now.

The first week of November, Comfort Object will be re-released at a backlist price of $2.99 with an all-new cover, so it won’t be out of print long. The new edition will be exactly the same story as the old edition, just a new cover. AND for those of you who have been asking for two years now, the new edition will also be available in a paperback version through Amazon.

I’m excited to have it available at a more affordable price, especially since Odalisque, coming out in November, is set in the same “world” and has cameos from Jeremy, Nell, Mason, Jessamine, and even Kyle and Caressa for a bit.

An graphic artist friend of mine is working on the new Comfort Object cover and once she has it ready, I’ll definitely be posting it here, so stay tuned!

New Cover Art!!!

It’s always so exciting to get cover art, and this one really captures the spirit of my upcoming book.

I got this lovely cover today for Odalisque, courtesy of awesome author and artist Adrienne Wilder. I absolutely love it. Adrienne does a lot of her own drawing and she perfectly communicated what I was envisioning. YAY!

Odalisque is a contemporary BDSM romance about Kai, a wealthy but lonely movie tech exec, and Constance, the woman he hires to give him sexual pleasure according to the mysterious Code d’Odalisque. Mason Cooke, Jessamine Jackson, and Jeremy Gray and his wife Nell all show up in the book too! Kai and Constance’s story is very emotional, very sensual, and very surprising at times. I hope everyone will enjoy it.

I’m expecting it to be available on Amazon and other outlets around the first week of November. Please stay tuned, and thanks again for all your support.

Just a reminder–I’m chatting tomorrow (Aug 24) at Righteous Perverts.com at 9 PM (ET)!

Hope you can make it! Set a reminder! Set an alarm! Be there! 9:00 PM EST!

Just go to this page (click!),give it a moment to load, pick a user name, and click “Sign in” to the Chat Room.

It’s always a blast. I hope to be able to talk to lots of you, and I’ll be giving away four books, e-book or paper book, your choice. So be sure to brush up on your Annabel Joseph trivia and I hope I’ll see you there!

Owning Wednesday gets five Delightful Divas at Dark Diva Reviews

I just love the Dark Diva Reviews site. I was really glad they were kind enough to review Owning Wednesday. Jae gave it a five Diva review!

You can read the review here (click!)

A short excerpt: “The BDSM is intricate, intense, fresh, and always drives the emotional portions of the story forward. There is no scene in this story that doesn’t add to the overall intensity and lead us toward the final HEA. That’s what makes Owning Wednesday a page-turner from the very beginning.

Annabel Joseph’s stories on the whole are based on the deep emotional needs or development of a character or characters. That, at least for me, is what draws readers back to her stories over and over again. They never fail to take you on a powerful journey through her character’s lives. She takes you through their ups and downs and you have the privilege of watching as they find their balance in life. Her characters are rich and have a depth that brings them to life for the reader right from the start.”

Thanks so much to Jae for the kind words about Owning Wednesday. If you haven’t read it yet, you can pick it up on Amazon or any of the other big sites.

I’ll be chatting at Righteous Perverts on Wednesday, August 24th!

I’m so excited! I was invited to be the guest of honor on Kris Cook’s weekly Righteous Perverts chat this upcoming Wednesday night at 9 PM ET.

I hope you guys will come and chat with me and bring your questions and comments about my books. You don’t have to register or jump through any hoops to participate in the chat. Just click here to go to the chat site, pick any user name you like, and jump right in. Sometimes the page takes a moment to load, so be patient.

I go there almost every week to listen in to other authors’ spotlights, to learn what they’re writing and what makes them tick, and it’s a great, fun group. I hope you’ll join us this Wednesday at 9 ET!
