Just a reminder…prices

Just a reminder that my prices at Amazon and Barnes and Noble are going up to $3.99 on December 1st. As I said in my post back in October, I feel it will be better if my price points are closer to the price points of other authors who write what I write. A $2.99 price can say “novella” to some readers, and “possibly-suspect” to some readers so I think a $3.99 price point will more accurately reflect the length and quality of book the reader can expect. My novellas won’t be affected and will still be priced at 99 cents or $2.99.

Also, my books have always been $3.99 at Smashwords and AllRomanceEbooks, so that won’t change.

I appreciate everyone’s understanding. I will always try to keep my prices reasonable, but if there are books you’ve been thinking of picking up, you might want to do so in the next couple days before those prices go up on you!

  1. Too late, I have all your books already! I buy them the second they hit the shelves (?? that’s weird with e-books) but it’s very sweet that you are trying to help you readers and fans! love-love, Beth ❤ ~ ❤

  2. I was always surprised at the $2.99 price because the books are full length and very good. Even at $3.99, your prices are still less than the industry standard. I own all of your books.

  3. I am nervous about my sales plummeting, lol. But it’s not about the money, most of the time. Even if I didn’t make anything, I’m sure I would keep writing. Thanks Beth and anon for coming to post today. 🙂

  4. I paid 13.99 for ICED on my kindle, a great book from one of my favorite authors for me is not about the price, never been. I still think your prices are to low.

    1. My prices were almost that high when I published at Ellora’s Cave and it definitely took a toll on my sales. Hopefully I can eventually end up in a sweet spot. The publishing industry is so scary at the moment… I am just going to keep writing and hope for the best, lol.
