Many thanks to cover artist Robin Ludwig for this Command Performance cover.
This is Mason’s story, the last book in the Comfort series and boy, is it a roller coaster ride. Here’s the super short blurb:
Mason Cooke has it all: fame, wealth, women–and a nagging PR problem. He launches a public campaign to improve his image, only to find his private life hopelessly complicated by a new face in his life.
I can’t give an exact date of release because it depends on my editor and proofreader (and ME getting it in tip top shape to send it off to them!) but I am guessing November at the latest. Hopefully October.
And don’t forget that The Edge of the Earth is coming out at the end of this month. Vanilla but not boring!
I was under the impression that Mason was a big tall guy. Unless the girl on the cover is huge he is a short little guy. I like your books have read most of them, and intend to finish all of them. I am sorry but I think the cover looks like a harlquin romance. I read all the time and sometimes the cover influences me on my purchases. Only because I like your writing would I ever buy a book with a cover like that. Vanilla fade to white.
Mm, maybe she’s wearing heels like those stars do on the red carpet.
Sadly, it’s almost impossible to find the perfect cover models for a book. He definitely has the scruffiness and tousled hair that is essentially “mason” to me. I hope you’ll buy it anyway, even though you don’t like the cover. π
I wouldn’t miss it!! He is scruffy enough for Mason.
I like it. It matches the blurb perfectly. I would wear that man’s diamond collar any day. π
I will be buying book and deform too. As for the cover, as long as it’s not a cartoon all is well with me. Can’t wait for this book and Mason to strut his stuff.
Thanks guys!
While your waiting for your broken spirit to heal, we your devoted fans will be waiting for you.
Do not let the 50 Shades do you in.. i think and hope that the fan fair is dying down and this is just my opinion but I think those who were crazed about the book where the Twilight fans who read the fan fiction and women who haven’t picked a book in eons.
The real romance community knows the real deal.
Maddie, I think you’re probably right. My neighbor today made me feel better. And the swimming pool.
As for what to write about next, I just have to stay open and hopefully something will come to me. I think part of it is the summer blahs and part of it is the feeling that Fifty Shades will NEVER go away. Even once the book fades away, then the movie will come out, and the copycat novels, and the whole hullaballo will start all over again and ….acckkk.
Sigh. I need some kind of shock therapy. Everytime I start obsessing about it I get 500 volts to the temple. BAM. Now that would be kinky, lol.
Not sure where this was posted but Anne Rice’s Beauty trig was compared to 50 like she was copying James when those books have been out forever.
Getting kind of sick of rabid fans comparing everything to 50 as if James invented the whole bondage scene. I think a backlash might be brewing.
Stay strong, relax and just enjoy life.
Oh yeah, that was on Fetlife, where someone said The Beauty books were “knockoffs” of 50 Shades. Gasp. Heresy.
And I think there already is a bit of a backlash, which heartens me. On the readers side, anyway. I think the publishers are still out there looking for the next 50 Shades, clueless as always. I just had a weak, whiny day. I will be okay. thanks for being there to cheer me on. π
I know it’s hard to stomach that something as bland and clichΓ©d as 50 Shades is so successful, but it should be some consolation that your books are simply better and hotter! As we all know – life isn’t always fair π By the way, how are your Duke and his ladylove coming along?
Oh, yes, the Duke of Courtland and young Miss Barrett are hanging in there.
They are going to be the couple I work on while Mason’s story is waiting for editing. π There is something about a haughty duke falling in love that just gets me every time!!
